Titus’ Cakes & Breads is a homegrown bakery that mixes Filipino flavors with a modern, premium touch. The brand started as a small home-based business but has a big vision — to grow into a café and eventually make its name in the Irish and European market.
Understanding the Need
The client wanted a brand identity that feels sophisticated but still approachable. They took inspiration from known names like Conti’s and Mary Grace but wanted something that’s still true to their own story.
Since the brand is home-based for now but plans to expand, the challenge was to create a design that shows both its humble beginnings and its future potential. The big question: How do you look modern and premium without losing warmth and accessibility?
Crafting the Creative Direction
From the start, the direction leaned on modern, premium, and appetite-boosting visuals. We explored script-inspired typography for elegance, paired with clean fonts for balance.
The goal wasn’t just to make a nice logo — it had to work on packaging, menus, café signage, and digital use, while also connecting emotionally with people. Something that feels familiar but also aspirational.
The Challenge
One tricky part was balancing the Filipino heritage of the brand with its goal of reaching Ireland and Europe. The client didn’t have a lot of visual references, so finding the right “sweet spot” of style took more effort. Plus, without clear competitors to compare with, we had to dig deeper for direction.
Finding the Solution
To solve this, I studied established bakery cafés and brands that nailed the premium-yet-approachable vibe. Then I adapted those insights to fit Titus’ story.
The result was a blend of Filipino warmth with Irish sophistication — something that resonates with both cultures but still feels fresh and distinct.
