Cafecito is a cozy and affordable café made for students and remote workers. It’s not just about coffee—it’s a spot where people can study, work, or hang out. With drafting tables, study booths, and even a self-photo studio, the space mixes comfort with productivity. The branding reflects that balance through a classic but playful logo system.
Understanding the Need
The goal was to create a logo that shows Cafecito’s warm and welcoming vibe. It needed to feel friendly and modern, while also giving a little nod to familiar coffee shop culture (like Starbucks) but in its own unique way.
Crafting the Creative Direction
My idea was to mix a playful touch with a clean, simple look. The logo had to bring out a bit of nostalgia for coffee culture, while still looking sharp and up to date. The overall feel needed to be easy, recognizable, and not too complicated.
The Challenge
The tricky part was finding the sweet spot between classy and fun. The brand had to feel homey and approachable for students and remote workers, but still polished enough to look good on cups, signage, and around the café.
Finding the Solution
I came up with a logo system that puts personality front and center:
Cat in a spilling coffee cup – playful, charming, and gives the brand character.
Teal as the main color – fresh and modern, with room to add more shades later.
Simple, clean logomark – keeps it neat, easy to spot, and memorable.
The Design Process
Symbol Mark: Built to feel iconic yet friendly, with simple lines and personality.
Color Approach: Teal takes the lead, giving a calm but modern vibe.
Brand Execution: Works smoothly across cups, signage, and other café materials so the brand is consistent in and out of the shop.
The Results
The final logo makes Cafecito feel:
Inviting and Stylish — warm, creative, and easy to connect with.
Distinctive and Memorable — the playful cat detail makes it stand out.
Clean and Scalable — looks good anywhere, from cups to stickers to signage.
With this logo and identity, Cafecito becomes more than just a coffee spot—it’s a creative hub where people feel welcome to work, study, or simply enjoy their time.
