The goal was to create a visual identity that’s memorable, expressive, and perfectly aligned with playful pet-loving audiences.

The packaging needed to reflect ChewPuppy's personality—fun, approachable, and playful—without losing professionalism or clarity. The challenge was delivering joyful, expressive visuals that stand out on shelves and digital platforms while clearly communicating product flavor and quality.

I focused on blending friendly illustration, bold colors, and clear presentation. The aim was to create a warm and expressive package design that immediately catches the eye, infusing happiness and trust while remaining informative and functional.

The biggest hurdle was ensuring the packaging remains practical and clear amid its characterful design. The solution needed to be whimsical but not cluttered, expressive yet legible—especially for small-scale labels and flexible packaging like pouches.

I developed a packaging system that:

  • Features custom illustrations of happy dogs reflecting snack enjoyment.

  • Uses vibrant color bands to highlight flavors and create shelf recognition.

  • Incorporates a central logo lockup for brand recall amid playful elements.

The Design Process

  • Logo Placement: Centered and prominent for instant brand recognition.

  • Color Systems: Bright tones assigned per flavor for clear differentiation.

  • Illustrative Approach: Playful dog characters and motif accents to tell the brand story.

  • Layout Structure: Balanced white space, legibility, and hierarchy of info for easy reading.
